.....First we had the AMA's, then the VMA's, now.....the NMA's

The Nigeria Music Awards will be held on Saturday the 12th, August at the New Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, London. It'll showcase the best of Nigeria's artistes and those in entertainment. The organisers have publicised this extremely well and in turn, expect a big turn out. So if you are interested and keen on stuff like this, visit the website. Of course, there is all the effizzy_vocab with the different levels of tickets, i.e. the platinum ticket gets you champagne, canapes and all that shizniz_vocab but if I know better from other Nigerian events I've atteneded, it's not to be too optimistic about first class treatment when you have a gold or platinum ticket.

On this site they actually say you can sit next to your favourite artist if you get the £250 one. Hmmm, do they actually mean beside them or on the row next to theirs? Even that's a bit farfetched.....Platinum ko, mercury ni! Have they forgotten the colour of the tape in bureaucratic Nigeria? Hehehe.... ok well they did say subject to availability.

Anyways, you can also nominate winners here. Group categories include:

• Best male vocalist

• Best female vocalist

• Best group

• Lifetime achievement award

• Posthumous achievement award

• Best promoter award
