Happy New Year! Nigeria will be 50 this year! :o)

Nigerians are fortunate to live in a nation which is fast growing, having intelligent and resourceful people with strong cultural backgrounds, and having a vast amount of resources and raw materials. In the same vein, there is a huge potential for change and economic development as well as social, infrastructural and political improvement. Nonetheless, we are proudly Nigerian and NO we are not terrorists :)

Just released yesterday - the new Common video featuring beautiful people - Kerry Washington, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and Serena Williams. The video for the song titled 'I Want You' was directed by Kerry Washington (who is rumoured to be Common's new chic). Check it out:

Not sure if everyone has heard about Emirates' new First Class Suites on their Boeing 777-300ER's and 777-200LR's? It was highlighted as blogworthy by Naijanaz.

Forget the perks oh:

The slogan says - Relax, you've arrived! Hmm I hope the passengers can choose when they want to get off the plane (i.e. in 3 weeks time or...)

Nigeria: Happy Independence and VideoBytes

Hip Hip Hip, Hooray! - should have been the title of this post lol. So how are you all feeling? Was anyone keen enough to wear green and white to work? And what did those of you do in Nig for the public holiday? (Grrrr)

419: Not Our Label

Hmmmm like Tuface would say - No be small thing oh! Well, let us start rejecting it sha. You can be sure I have been planning for an Advanced Fee Fraud post for a couple of months now. It will be mad. But you can check out this video, this person meant business oh - a whole gallery exhibition regarding 419. It is titled - 419 or the spanish prisoner, exhibit in Girona (click to watch pretty interesting). But why would this person call us out like that now? - And what would make it worse is if people paid to attend this exhibition - wawaweewa. Nigerians Reject it!

NYSC

People who have gone through this probably have a copy of this - it's the NYSC certificate. For those who are interested in doing NYSC (serving Nigeria post college prior to working), it is worth checking Ayoola's blog. NYSC also have a website - check it out.

Dimples, although all roads led to NYSC camp in Lagos for her, didn't quite come back doing it just yet. So yes we always have the Nigerian uncertainty. She does have a diary/account of her escapades on her 'NYSC trip'. I'll post that up on Wednesday or Thursday.
