Hehehe - that is all I can say with regards to my being MIA (I'm back. It's my own version of Super Tuesday today i.e. feeding you with random info from Hollywood.

On Kanye West:

Kanye Preps Book And Internet Search Engine

Before Kanye West launches his ‘Glow In the Dark' tour, which many estimate will be the year's highest-grossing tour, the rapper, producer and author will release a book and his own Google powered search engine.

While the book deal for Thank You and You're Welcome was confirmed as early as mid 2007, excerpts from the book of 'Kanye-isms' have now been released on Kanye's official blog at KanyeUniversecity.com. West, who co-wrote the book with fellow Chicago native J. Sakiya Sandifer, says it will be filled with 'creative humorous and insightful philosophies and sketches used in creating my path to success'.

On the digital front, West has also launched the Internet search engine searchwithkanyewest.com

Searches on the site will be powered by Google and Ask.com, but they will also give fans an opportunity to earn an online currency called 'Swag Bucks.' After accumulating a certain amount of Swag Bucks, users can redeem them for autographed CDs, MP3 downloads, clothing and other exclusive Kanye West Merchandise.

On The Great Debaters:

The Great Debaters (2007) is a film produced by Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Productions. It is directed by Denzel Washington who also stars in the film along with Forest Whitaker, Kimberly Elise, Nate Parker, and Jurnee Smollett. The film is based on the true story of Melvin B. Tolson, who, while at Wiley College formed a debate team that beat Harvard in 1935 during the national championships.

Oprah vs. Tyra

Forbes has just released it's top-earning Black celebrities list and Oprah tops it, of course, with - $260m a year ($2.6bn) i.e. she earns $712,000 a day! Last October, she gave away about $300,000 to her audience (click on link to read). Well, that is just less than a half day's salary innit?

Winfrey, 54, whose publicity got into some hot water last year (click to read) is still on top.

There was an interview on CBS news (taken off the web) where Mark (one of the presenters) attacked and prodded Janet Jackson about flashing her boobie at the Superbowl although the interview was about the upcoming movie. Tyler Perry was very mature and manly about it and defended her by changing the topic with every unnecessary question asked and making them aware they were there for a 'Movie Interview'. Watch Mark apologise here.

The movie also finished first at the box office and is projected to rake in a whopping $23m. Whoa! Nice one Tyler

The movie is the inspiration for Jay-Z's upcoming album. It features Denzel Washington portraying Frank Lucas (wikipedia), a real-life heroin kingpin from Manhattan who smuggled heroin into the country in the coffins of American soldiers returning from the Vietnam War. Russell Crowe portrays Richie Roberts, a detective who brings down Lucas's drug empire.
